Valentine’s Day Goodies for the Kids

Hi everyone! This is my first blog post on the new site – I hope you’re liking it thus far! The goal is to have one website that will act as both a portfolio for my photography business, as well as a home for our family, fashion, and lifestyle blog! I feel like they both tend to intermingle anyways, so having one site made more sense to me. Also, if you’ve been a reader for a while, I promise I’m working on figuring out how to migrate all of my old posts to this site… they will all get here eventually 🙂

With that, I can’t even believe we’re already half way through February 2019 and Valentine’s Day is here. Kyle and I don’t typically make a big fuss over Valentine’s Day. We usually just get each other a card and try to get out of the house (we’re headed out to dinner tonight at my favorite spot in the South End!). While Kyle and I don’t make a big fuss, I do love to fuss over the girls!

This year, I went straight to Target (obvi) in search of some sweet treats and cute little goodies for Charley and Maddy. After perusing the Valentine’s Day section, I picked up these cute little Love buckets and heart shaped Reese’s candies (the girl’s favorites!), as well as the pink, red, and white M&Ms in cute heart-topped containers. Then I wandered over to the dollar section (my kryptonite) and I found this XOXO balloon and cute little pink twinkle lights (all for a whopping total of $7!). So, yes, those had to come home with me, as well!

Lastly, I beelined it right to the children’s clothing section and picked up these adorable XO sweatshirts to match the XOXO balloon. I will note that I was pretty proud of myself for ONLY buying these sweatshirts — I can do damage in the Cat and Jack section (hands up if you’re with me!).

Like how the girls couldn’t wait more than 4 seconds before digging into the Reese’s?! Maddy dug right in (they really are her favorite candy) and Charley kept forgetting to peal off the second layer of wrapping around the chocolate – Kyle had to keep jumping in to peal it off before she ate the paper alongside the chocolate!

I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
